This is a brief rundown of our process of setting you up with a great website:
-you determine your need for a website
-you
contact us for a consultation (you should have a list of potential domain names (website names) you'd like to have, in
order of preference.)
-we will do a search of the domain names you would like to see if they are available. When a
domain name is available, we will purchase it for the time frame you decide on, i.e.: 1 yr, 2yr, 3yr. Prices are dependent on
demand but are generally relatively inexpensive.
-we then determine what type of hosting package you require. This is a monthly subscription that you would pay to have your website hosted on the internet. The cost of subsription is dependent on the package you choose. Most packages include at least 3 dedicated email accounts that include your name and domain name...for example: john.doe@yoursite.com. (up to 50 email accounts per site are available with larger hosting packages.)
-based
on the consultation, we design a site that would best suit your needs and is an accurate reflection of what you sell, or what you
do, or who you are. As a client, you would need to provide us with the following: any special graphics such as logos,
clipart, photos, text, contact information, etc., that you would like to be included on your website.
-once the site is created,
you get to proof-read it and we would make any changes you would like to see.
-when you are satisfied with your website, we make
it live for everyone to see.
-once your website is up and running, all you need to do is promote it any way you want. For small businesses, we recommend signing up with a local or regional online business directory that, for a nominal fee (and sometimes for free), would put a link to your site on their website in an appropriate category. You can also include your website on your business cards, pamphlets, print ads, Yellow Pages, and even on your business signage right at your place of business. If you are not a business but an individual or group, such as an artist or a band, you can put links to your website on any social networking site you are a member of such as Myspace or Facebook as well as on your business cards and promotional packages.
